DELITE greenhouse manufacturing Workflow

This is a kit-based production model. The factory is not building the greenhouse at the customer site. Our most important greenhouse manufacturing goal is that all parts align correctly during customer assembly. That means hole position, bend radius, tube length, tube diameter, cover size, zipper position, and accessory count must be controlled tightly.

Step 1: Product Design and Specification Confirmation

DELITE first defines the greenhouse size, arch shape, tube diameter, tube wall thickness, hoop spacing, door style, side windows, anchoring method, and packing format.

Step 2: Steel Greenhouse Frame Manufacturing Process

Raw Material Purchasing

To ensure consistent quality and maximize product service life, DELITE follows a demand-based raw material procurement process. Steel pipes and covering materials are arranged for purchase according to confirmed production requirements. Since materials such as steel pipes and plastic films may be affected by long-term storage, including oxidation or aging, we minimize unnecessary storage time and optimize our production schedule to deliver products with the longest possible service life.

This approach not only helps end users receive reliable products but also reduces potential after-sales issues for our partners caused by material aging or quality inconsistency.

Tube cutting machine

Tube Cutting

The tubes are cut to the required length according to the bills of materials. Cutting accuracy matters because a greenhouse frame has many repeat parts. If the tube length varies too much, the final frame may lean, the cover may not fit tightly, or the screw holes may not align during assembly. The cutting process usually uses automatic pipe cutting machine.

Tube Bending and Hoop Forming

The curved hoops define the shape of the polytunnel greenhouse. The bend must be consistent from one hoop to the next. If the curve is too flat or too high, the full structure will lose its intended shape and makes assembly harder for the end user.

Typical equipment:

  • Hydraulic pipe bending machine
  • CNC pipe bending machine for larger production
  • Fixed-radius bending dies
  • Radius checking jig
  • Hoop profile template

End Forming and Tube Joining Design

Our greenhouse kits use insert-style pipe connections. One tube end should be slightly reduced, swaged, or designed to slide into another tube. Even when bolts and nuts are used, this tube-in-tube fit helps the frame stay aligned before final tightening. We use tube swaging machine and deburring machine to handle this process.

Punching, Drilling and Connection Holes

Because the greenhouse kit uses screws and nuts at connection points, hole position is one of the most important quality factors. Our production team uses hydraulic punching machine, pneumatic hole punching machine, multi-hole drilling jig to keep holes consistent across batches.

Tube Label

As this is a DIY assembly kit, each steel tube is marked with a unique number by an inkjet printer to simplify installation for end users. These markings match the part numbers in the instruction manual, ensuring a smooth and accurate assembly process.

Step 3: PE Cover Production

The cover is usually polyethylene-based. Depending on the product level, our covers include clear agricultural-grade film, white PE film, green PE mesh cloth, reinforced PE cover with grid, UV-stabilized greenhouse film. For wholesale buyers, cover weight, UV treatment, color, transparency, window quantity, zipper quality, and reinforcement method can be adjusted according to the target market.

We source pre-manufactured PE covering materials made from co-extruded multi-layer films with different polymers and additives, providing excellent UV resistance and long-term outdoor durability. Based on each greenhouse model and size, our production team precisely cuts the cover components, including door covers, roof covers, and end wall covers.

For greenhouse covers with ventilation windows, we use advanced equipment such as hot-air welding machines, impulse sealers, sewing machines, zipper sewing/welding stations, and eyelet/grommet machines to complete welding, edge finishing, zipper installation, and reinforcement processes. As a greenhouse manufacturer, we understand that the covering material is not just a protective layer, it must be carefully designed and processed to perfectly match the steel frame structure, ensuring proper fitting, stability, and overall greenhouse performance.

Step 4: Hardware and Accessories

greenhouse kit accessories

A greenhouse kit is only complete if every small part is included. The frame and cover may be well made, but one missing screw pack can still stop the customer from assembling the product. Our accessory bags are counted manually and will be checked by weight.

Step 5: Greenhouse Package

Our factory operates a dedicated packaging line to ensure every order is packed according to consistent standards. The entire packaging process is divided into multiple steps, with dedicated operators responsible for component sorting, quantity checking, accessory preparation, carton packing, and final sealing.

Before the package is sealed, each finished carton goes through a final weight verification process. By comparing the actual package weight with the standard packing weight, we can confirm that all components and accessories are included and minimize the risk of missing parts.

This standardized packaging process not only improves packing efficiency but also supports our customers with better inventory control, warehousing management, and smoother distribution to the end market. Welcome to our YouTube channel to watch the packaging process for our greenhouse components.

Why Manufacturing Detail Matters

Many greenhouse kits look similar online. They may have similar sizes, similar green PE covers, and similar product photos. The real difference is often found in the manufacturing details. Our greenhouse production process focuses on part accuracy, cover fit, and complete accessory packing.

A better greenhouse kit should have straighter cuts, cleaner holes, more consistent hoop bending, stronger seams, better zippers, better accessory packing, and clearer instructions. These details are not always visible in the product photo, but they decide whether the final customer can assemble and use the greenhouse smoothly.

For importers and distributors, stable greenhouse manufacturing quality also helps reduce returns, complaints, spare-part requests, and seasonal supply issue

FAQ

What type of greenhouse does DELITE manufacture?

DELITE manufactures polytunnel greenhouse kits. These are single-span greenhouse kits with steel tube frames, PE covers, screw-and-nut connections.

Are these large commercial greenhouses?

No. This page refers to DIY greenhouse kits, not multi-span greenhouse projects or large greenhouse structures that need professional installation.

How are the steel pipes connected?

The steel pipes are connected with screws and nuts. The holes are pre-punched during production so the user can assemble the frame with basic tools.

What greenhouse cover material is used?

Most models use PE cover material. Depending on the buyer's market, we can discuss different PE weights, colors, UV treatment, reinforcement, windows, and zipper styles.

Do you support OEM or private-label orders?

Yes. As a OEM greenhouse manufacturer, OEM branding, carton design, label design, and instruction manual customization can be discussed for suitable wholesale orders.
